MARCH 24, 1935 – JANUARY 26, 2024

Sandra “Sandy” Sue (Hill) Swann, 88, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Sandy was born in 1935 to Merle and Stella Hill. She was one of twelve children raised in St. Francis, Kansas. Sandy had ten brothers and one sister. Being part of such a large family helped Sandy become one of the most loving people anyone could ever meet. It also contributed to how she raised her own three children, Connie, Randy, and Kimberly. She loved her children dearly.

Sandy was a hardworking lady and worked for HP and Forney Industries for many years. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed watching the grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. Until her last days she loved getting updates on each of her family members, with every visit from her loved ones. Her quick wittedness came from being raised with a family of mostly boys, keeping her and her sister Dolores on their toes. That same wittiness flowed down into the grandkids and there was always lots of joking and laughter when the family got together.

Sandy also enjoyed a great many activities with the love of her life, Kenneth Swann. Together, they went polka dancing, fishing, and spent time gardening. They had celebrated 50 years of love, joy, and marriage until the time of Kenneth's passing in 2021.

Sandy was an amazing woman who treated everyone in her life so preciously. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and will live on in the hearts and memories of her children, Connie Cary (Steve), Kim Devlin (Matt); step-son, Tony Swann (Zanna); her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Sandy is also survived by her brothers, Ron, Craig, Larry and Ed Hill, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was greeted at the gates by her beloved husband of 50 years, Kenneth, her son, Randy Sexson, step-son, Darren Swann, sister, Dolores Hall, brothers, Dale, Neal, Ted, Bill, Jerry and Laddie Hill, and by her parents, Merle and Stella.

Sandy’s family plans to celebrate her life in a private ceremony. They are grateful for the care provided to Sandy in her last days by the compassionate folks in hospice. Should you wish to honor Sandy's memory, donations in her name are encouraged to Pathways Hospice.
