NOVEMBER 12, 1942 – MAY 9, 2024

Sharon Irene Lebeda, age 81, of Loveland, Colorado passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Good Samaritan Loveland Village with family by her side.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 12, 1942 to Lloyd and Ila (Sudlow) Magnusson. Sharon was one of ten children growing up with four brothers and five sisters. As anyone could imagine, a ten-child household could be a bit chaotic at times, but there was never a dull moment or shortage of pranks.

In 1961, Sharon married Norman John Lebeda in Pierre, South Dakota and welcomed a son, Timothy Lebeda, before moving to Loveland, Colorado around 1963. Sharon and Norman welcomed three more children: Kimberly, Michael, and Misti. She loved her children dearly.

Sharon was known for always showing kindness to others. She was a gentle soul with a great sense of humor. She was extremely hardworking and tough as nails. She had an incredible fondness for gardening and for living things. She loved flowers and plants and did not have a shortage on them. She could tell you what one or the other was and if she didn’t know, she would find out. She was great at Sudoku, until her eyesight left her, and she loved her pet Chihuahuas, of which she had far too many to name. She faced so many battles but was such a fighter.

Sharon leaves behind her husband of more than 63 years, Norman Lebeda; children Tim Lebeda, Kim Hughes, Mike Lebeda, and Misti Mullins (husband Jason); grandchildren Micheal Pakiser (Christine), Matthew Lebeda, Amanda Lebeda, Nick Hughes, Jessie Hughes, Chelsea Behnke (Searain), Tod Lebeda (Kelsey), and Brianna Harmon (Chayse); and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters Naomi Douglas, Irma Foland, Marilyn McKibben, and Ruth Ballard, and her brother Dale Magnusson; and sister-in-law June Magnusson (wife of brother Everett); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Ila Magnusson; her sister Emma Lamb; brothers, George, Sam, and Everett Magnusson; brothers-in-law, John "Shorty" Lamb, Kelly Douglas, Gary Foland, and Ron Ballard; and sister-in-law Bertha “Babe” Magnusson (wife of George).

A Remembrance and Burial will take place on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 1:00pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins. Treasured memories of Sharon and words of condolence for her family are welcome at resthavencolorado.com.
