APRIL 1, 1961 – OCTOBER 9, 2023
Thomas "Tom" Kennedy Earley of Timnath, Colorado was welcomed into God's loving arms on Monday, October 9, 2023. He was 62 years young.
Tom was born to Dr. Thomas and Rose Early on April 1st, 1961, in London, England. At the age of six months, he traveled by ship to the United States. His family lived in Colorado where Tom spent most of the remainder of his life.
After graduating from Regis High School, Tom completed his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Northern Colorado. For the past 34 years, he worked for Anderson Merchandisers as a Territory Sales Lead.
Tom married his wife Beverly in Julesburg, Colorado on May 25th, 1991. They were blessed with four children, Devin, Sean, Mika, and Brendan. He was a devoted husband and father and will be missed by his family more than words can convey.
Tom’s heart belonged to his family. In his free time, he attended his children’s activities. He went camping on weekends with the scouts, attended soccer and football games, track meets, tennis matches, Science Olympiad, Robotics tournaments, and marching band performances. He would never miss an event.
Tom had a passion for books, reading and listening to them. Books were a bridge that connected him with others. He was always interested in what people were reading and would never leave a store without looking through the newest book selections.
Tom loved his coffee. He liked to get up early in the morning so he could brew a fresh pot each day. His friends and family always made sure “Tom had his fresh cup” ready. Tom was a loyal and unwavering Broncos’ fan, no matter if they were winning or not.
Tom enjoyed music, had an extensive knowledge of random facts and always remembered birthdays and anniversaries.
Tom liked being outdoors and one of his favorite past-times was riding his bike. He completed the Elephant Rock Ride, Ride the Rockies, Ragbrai, Pedal the Plains and many more. These rides allowed him to enjoy the beautiful scenery that makes up Colorado. His fondness for the outdoors extended to trips with his family and the Earley family reunion in the Rocky Mountains.
Tom fought resiliently through his 12-year battle with ALS. He never complained, faced each day with patience, and laughter, and inspired everyone who met him. His spirit is a testament to the power of unconditional love and the importance of cherishing quality time with one another. Tom was more than a fighter; he was a living example of perseverance and selflessness. His kindness was guileless and his dedication to hard work and willingness to help others left a mark on all who knew him. We remember the lessons he taught us: to live with love, to face challenges with grace, and to help others unconditionally. His legacy will live on with his precious gift as an organ and tissue donor. We honor his memory and hope to live our lives by the example he set.
Those left to celebrate Tom’s life include his wife Beverly and children, Sean, Mika, and Brendan, his mother Rose Earley, and his siblings: Amy Lindsey (Mark), Sara Mills (Greg), Katie Beeler (Casey) and Dave Earley (Robin); his daughter-in-law, Diana (Sean's wife); his wife’s family, Michelle Cheever (John), Lisa Bisio (Ray), Joe Palic (Jackie), Allen Palic (Amber), Daniel Palic (Rhonda), and Kevin Palic (Tina); his 24 nieces and nephews and numerous friends and relatives.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Thomas Kennedy Earley II, aunts Rina Bavaresco, Olga Carroll, and Jenny Roman, and by his son, Devin Earley.
In honor of Tom’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ALS Rocky Mountain Chapter, the Poudre River Library District, or the memorial fund to be established with the Credit Union of Colorado. Treasured memories and words of condolence for his family are welcome at www.resthavencolorado.com.
