The HealthierUS School Challenge: Smarter Lunchrooms is a voluntary certification initiative that recognizes schools creating healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity.

“We value the strong partnerships built between Nutrition Services and our schools, and the positive impact that healthy meals have on students academic success," said Shelly Allen, Director of Nutrition and Warehouse Services.

After an extensive application process, St.Vrain was awarded 11 Bronze and three Silver Awards.

The following schools received Bronze awards:

  • Altona Middle School
  • Coal Ridge Middle School
  • Erie High School
  • Frederick High School
  • Longmont High School
  • Mead High School
  • Niwot High School
