The new principal of Burlington Elementary School has been serving the St. Vrain Valley School District for 24 years.
On Wednesday, the school board unanimously approved the hiring of Erica Bowman as principal at Burlington Elementary.
Bowman started as a special education teacher at St. Vrain in 1998, becoming principal at Mountain View Elementary in 2002. She served as director of special education for two years, from 2008-2010, then two years as an Individual Education Program specialist.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be embarking on this new chapter of my career at St. Vrain,” Bowman said. “I just am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had over these past 24 years to serve this community and I am beyond excited to start my next chapter of serving the Burlington community.”
Bowman begins as principal on July 1.
