As part of Computer Science Education Week, the Innovation Center of St. Vrain Valley Schools will host a ‘Day of AI’ on Dec. 2 from 2-5 p.m.

Computer Science Education Week is “an annual call to action to inspire K-12 students to learn computer science, advocate for equity and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers and partners in the field,” according to the celebration’s official website.

The SVVSD event will feature activities designed to engage, educate and inspire attendees about artificial intelligence, according to a news release from SVVSD. Stations will be established so participants can explore AWS DeepRacer, Google’s Quick Draw Game, Generative Art and ChatGPT.

Discussion sessions will cover topics such as “Demystifying AI” and attendees will learn more about SVVSD’s efforts to incorporate AI in classrooms.

Running alongside the AI event is the World Artificial Intelligence Competition for Youth where youth will present solutions to real-world problems using AI.

The event is open to the public.
