Prior to joining the college in 2021, Johnson was the vice president for academic affairs at the Community College of Aurora and has led programs at the Colorado Department of Education with two decades of experience in a variety of roles.

Johnson has all served as a board member for several nonprofits and economic development organizations, including the Adams County Workforce and Business Center and the Rocky Mountain Partnership.

Johnson will be visiting Longmont at 1:20 p.m. Monday in the Boulder County Campus community room and Westminster 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Student Organizations room C0501. Her online forum is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday.

Simpson has received a number of grants and awards while serving on boards for organizations including Big Brother Big Sister, the Boys and Girls Club and N.E.W. Charter School of Innovation.
