The following is a gallery guide for Firehouse Art Center's latest exhibit, 25 Mechanical Pencils. An opening reception is Friday, April 13 from 6 to 9 pm and a Zine workshop will be held on April 23 at 7 pm.

The Center for Genocide Research And Education is hosting their first annual film festival on April 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The films will be shown at the Visual Arts Complex on the CU Boulder campus.

Art is not always thought of to be a group effort. However, in Longmont, the Firehouse Art Center, Casa de la Esperanza, Home Depot and Open Door Brewing have teamed up to make a large piece of art to be shared by all in the community.

LONGMONT, Colo. – On April 29 , the Longmont Public Library will be rolling out the red carpet for young, up-and-coming local author, Dorje Dolma, as she leads the day’s festivities celebrating children, books, and diversity.

Longmont’s own Longs Peak Chorus will present A Cappella Dreams in concert on April 7 at Stewart Auditorium at the Longmont Museum. Performances will be at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 in advance at the Museum or at www.
