Breaking: Longmont police investigating car fire as arson

A car was engulfed in flames Jan. 11 in the parking lot of Parkview Apartments and Longmont Police are seeking video or witnesses of the event.

Longmont police said a car fire that occurred last month is being investigated as arson.

The fire took place around 4:13 a.m. Jan. 11 near 16th street and Gay Street in Longmont.

A 2020 Gray Nissan Rogue with Iowa license plate LRS767 was engulfed in flames in the parking lot of the Parkview Apartments. The vehicle was a rental owned by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Longmont Public Safety posted Monday on Facebook requesting video surveillance or witnesses to the fire. The public is asked to contact 303-774-3700 or email [email protected] with relevant information and refer to Longmont police case No. 23-320.
