Jesus Magallan, a 58-year-old man, was arrested by Longmont Police after barricading himself overnight.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Northwestern Rd. around 9:17 p.m. Tuesday after neighbors reported several people arguing outside the residence. A second caller reported seeing a 44-year-old woman being strangled by her boyfriend.

When police arrived, two women victims explained their injuries to the officer and said Magallan was still in the home.

"The officer immediately removed the victims to a safe location. Police made contact with the suspect; however, he refused to exit the property," stated a news release from Longmont Public Safety.

After Magallan refused to leave the house, the officer looked into his criminal history and discovered that Magallan had several felony convictions including a Felony Menacing charge from 2012 in Boulder County.

Magallan was arrested this morning around 7:38 a.m. by the Longmont SWAT team. He has been charged with Domestic Violence, Second Degree Assault, Third Degree Assault and Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender.
