On August 28, 1987, Fabian Del Rosario was last seen in the area of 30th Street and Colorado Avenue in Boulder, Colorado.

Rosario, 20-years-old at the time, was last seen by a friend he was dropping off in the area around 7 p.m. Later that evening, he was supposed to pick up his girlfriend from work but never showed up, according to a report on the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Cold Case Files website. No one ever saw or heard from Rosario again.

Rosario was driving a brown Datsun 280ZX at the time of his disappearance.

On the morning of August 31, three days following Rosario’s disappearance, a Boulder police officer was on patrol when they located Rosario’s vehicle in the parking lot of Crossroads Mall near 30th Street and Walnut Street in Boulder. Upon investigation, officers discovered a substantial amount of blood in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

Further into their investigation, authorities stated that Rosario may have been involved in drug distribution by moving cocaine from Miami, Florida to Colorado. However, it is unclear whether drugs were a factor in this case, the report stated.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to please contact the Boulder Police Department at 303-441-3333.
