On Sunday, a 43-year-old man was arrested after he entered a Longmont residence in the 1900 block of Ken Pratt Blvd. The man was prohibited from being at the property due to a restraining order, the Longmont Police stated in an email.

The resident was not home when the man arrived, however, two of their guests were. The man engaged in a confrontation with the guests.

During the altercation, the man broke several items on the property, according to police. The man cut one of the guest’s hands with a butcher knife and then left the property.

The guest sustained two lacerations on his hand and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The owner of the residence returned as the suspect was fleeing the location. He attempted to force her to drive him to another location, the police said.

The suspect was later found in the 10600 block of Park Ridge and was arrested by the Longmont Police.

The man is charged with First Degree Burglary, Violation of Protection Order, Menacing, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief, Domestic Violence, and Second-Degree kidnapping.
