CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

An employee of a Longmont business on July 21 reported criminal mischief in the 300 block of South Hover Street. There are no investigative leads or suspect information at this time.

FRAUD 

A Longmont resident on July 21 reported identity theft in the 2200 block of Emery Street. This is a courtesy report.

THEFT 

A Longmont resident on July 21 reported a theft in the 900 block of Hover Street. There are no investigative leads or suspect information at this time.

BURGLARY 

On July 20, Longmont police responded to the 1200 block of South Coffman Street in reference to an attempted burglary of a residence. An unknown man attempted to unlawfully enter a residence but was unsuccessful. No items were taken, and there are no leads in this case.

DISTURBANCE 

July 20, Longmont police officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 800 block of South Main Street. A woman was contacted; case is open.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT 

A Longmont woman was bitten by a stray cat on July 20. The cat has been placed on bite quarantine at the Longmont Humane Society.

SEX ASSAULT 

On July 20, the Longmont Police Department took a report of a sexual assault on a child that occurred approximately 40 years ago. This case is closed.

DISTURBANCE 

On July 20, Longmont officers investigated a disturbance near Third Avenue and Emery Street. Case is open.

WELFARE CHECK 

On July 21, Longmont police responded to the 400 block of Lashley Street on the report of a welfare check. A man claimed to have been hit by an unknown subject. The case was unfounded.

ROBBERY 

On July 21 at approximately 0413 hours, officers responded to the 1000 block of South Hover Street in response to an attempted robbery that just occured. An investigation was conducted and a suspect was located and arrested. Case is cleared by arrest.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

On July 21, a report was taken in reference to a criminal trespassing and theft that occurred in the 5200 block of Bella Vista Drive. The suspects are unknown.

DISTURBANCE 

On July 21, Longmont police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Kimbark Street for a disturbance. The investigation found no criminal violation occurred.

FRAUD 

On July 21, a report was taken in the 900 block of Third Avenue in reference to an idenitity theft that did not occur in Longmont.

FRAUD 

On July 21, a report was taken in the 1400 block of South Collyer Street in reference to an identity theft that did not occur in Longmont.

FRAUD 

On July 20, a report was taken in reference to a theft and forgery that occurred in the 200 block of East Fourth Avenue. The case is under investigation.

INJURY ACCIDENT 

On July 21 at 1608 hours, Longmont police responded to the area of Mountain View Avenue and Francis Street on report of an accident.

AUTO THEFT 

On July 21, officers took a report of an auto theft that took place earlier in the day in the 700 block of Martin Street. A man took a woman’s vehicle without permission. The man later returned and was taken into custody. Cleared by arrest.

DISTURBANCE 

On July 21 at 1906 hours, Longmont police responded to the 1800 block of Hover Street on the report of a disturbance. A 39-year-old woman trespassed at a store.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

On July 21, Longmont police responded to the area of Erfert Street and Colo. 66 on a report of criminal mischief. A woman reported the windshield of her vehicle had been damaged by an unknown object she believed had been thrown at it as she drove. There are no suspects or leads in this case, and it will be closed.
