The state gained an estimated 32,000 nonfarm jobs on a seasonally adjusted basis in January, with the leisure and hospitality sector contributing 21,200 of those gains, and government employment adding 3,600.

Angie Marone, owner of Fit Chick Express, refers to the company as an experience or a community rather than a gym. Though Fit Chick offers classes found in traditional fitness studio settings including kickboxing, power core classes and private training, Marone’s mission goes beyond physical health to provide a safe space for women to meet while practicing self-care.

Over the years, the longtime downtown Longmont store has seen many chapters but has held onto its mission to provide affordable literature and sell pre-loved books. 

The endeavor, participants said, shows women can be involved in making beer, both professionally and in the community. It’s part of a larger effort by breweries worldwide, who also are releasing female-focused collaboration brews on or around March 8.

“We feel like it’s a much safer environment now that the infection rate has gone down,” Longs Peak Pub and Taphouse owner Kevin Daly said.
