Those pesky weeds are likely going to be your biggest challenge. You will have weeds growing and they generally grow fast and furious, crowding out everything around them.

The bonds are part of the $80 million in water bonds approved by Longmont voters in November.  A second bond issue for the remaining portion of the $80 million will likely take place in two to four years, according to a staff report to city council.

“Individuals who accept responsibility and provide proof of a valid license, insurance policy, and registration will have their cases dismissed. This will apply to both Boulder and Longmont cases.”

The library is hosting its annual PEEPS Literary Diorama Contest. Similar to last year, the competition will be held virtually due to social distancing guidelines. 

School boards, superintendents, and teachers unions have called for the tests to be canceled this year. They say administering the tests represents major logistical challenges, including calling back computers that students are using for remote learning, and would take away from instructional time without providing valid data.

Speaking at a virtual news conference, Polis said some frontline essential workers also will qualify for the first phase, including those who work in the grocery, agriculture and meatpacking industries. Younger people with two or more qualifying medical conditions also can get the vaccine.

Colorado funds its schools on a per-pupil basis, and lawmakers could have held back millions promised to schools after the October student tally recorded nearly 30,000 fewer students this year, a 3% decline.  Instead, Colorado lawmakers said they would maintain school funding in recognition that schools have incurred additional costs to educate students in a pandemic.

No customers were in the store at the time of the fire, Patrick Kramer, Longmont Fire Services public information officer and firefighter engineer said. Store management did not comment on the fire and did not say if any employees were in the store when the fire started. 

The lab visited Longmont Estates Elementary this morning and will head to Timberline PK-8 from 1 to 3 p.m. today. The stops are just two of those planned over the next three months at all of the district’s elementary schools.
