Residents are invited to attend a series of virtual public meetings this month and next as Boulder County commissioners consider 2021 budget requests from county departments and offices, the county announced in a news release last week.
The schedule for budget meetings and public hearing, which can be accessed via the county's Open Meeting Portal, is as follows:

Thursday, 1 p.m. – County administrator and capital budget presentations (public meeting, no public testimony)
- Oct. 13, 1 p.m. — 2021 recommended budget presentation by the budget officer (public meeting, no public testimony)
- Oct. 27, 3 p.m. — 2021 recommended budget public hearing (public testimony will be taken and commissioners will take action on 2021 employee benefits at this hearing)
- Nov. 10, 2 p.m. — Budget work session (public meeting, no public testimony)
- Dec. 8, 2 p.m. — 2021 budget adoption. By state statute, Colorado counties must adopt a budget by Dec. 15 for the following calendar year, according to the release.
