About 300 Boulder County property owners appealing home values did not receive their required Notice of Determination sent out in August.
Property owners who filed an appeal with the Assessor’s Office, and did not receive a Notice of Determination, should contact [email protected] or 303-441-3530, the news release states.
Notice of Determinations are the response to a property owner’s first level of appeal and are an important piece of information property owners need in determining if they should move forward in the appeals process, according to a Boulder County news release.
The estimated 300 property owners is a relatively small number of the 8,000 property owners who appealed property values. The stalled notices “was a result of an issue with a third-party vendor responsible for mailing out the Notice of Determinations,” the news release states.
Copies of Notices of Determination can be picked up at the Assessor’s Office, emailed, or mailed to property owners. The Assessor’s Office is open Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. the news release states. Once a property owners receives the NOD, the Assessor’s Office will work with the property owner to ensure they have the opportunity to further their appeal,
