The Colorado Department of Transportation through Sept. 17 is holding a virtual public meeting on how to address congestion, safety and other issues on Colo. 52 in Boulder and Weld counties.

CDOT is requesting public input on a Planning and Environmental Linkages Study/Access Control Plan designed to provide a long-term vision for the CO 52 corridor. The project extends 41.6 miles along Colo. 52, from CO 119 north of Boulder to Colo. 79 east of Hudson, according to a news release.

Colo. 52 is a major east-west connection corridor “from residential and rural areas to business centers, as well as commercial freight from industrial centers along the corridor,” according to the release.

“The project team is conducting a thorough analysis of the corridor conditions that will highlight deficiencies, safety and operational issues, and potential environmental concerns,” CDOT stated in the release.

The study was launched in the spring and is slated to wrap up in fall 2021. Public input opportunities including surveys, comment forms and interactive mapping are available here.

For those without access to a computer, all project information is available by calling the project hotline at 720-336-0187. Hard copies of project information also can be requested by emailing [email protected].
