How Would You Like to Share the Road?
If you walk, ride or roll your way around Longmont, the City wants to hear your thoughts about how to make that experience safer, more convenient, and less stressful. The City of Longmont is developing a plan that will influence the configuration of current and future transportation corridors throughout town. The public is invited to complete a brief survey on “Enhanced Multi-Use Corridors” and answer questions about how you might use these enhanced corridors. Read more about this effort and find the survey at bit.ly/enhanced-corridor-plan; the deadline is August 15.

Know Your Summer Weather Hazards
The greatest number of lightning deaths occur in June and July; if you can hear thunder, you’re in danger: When thunder roars, go indoors. Those who are deaf or hard of hearing remember: When you see a flash, dash to safety. We’ve also had very high temperatures here in Longmont recently. Always look for ways to reduce exposure to extreme heat and ensure that young children and pets are protected. For preparedness information on extreme heat, visit Weather.gov/heat. For lightning safety information, visit Weather.gov/lightning.
