The City of Longmont is informing the public of an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), or drone, flight on Tuesday, May 28, covering a small area along the St. Vrain Creek roughly bordered by Price Road/Boston Avenue to the north and South Bowen Street/Colorado Avenue to the south.
The drone flight will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting.
This flight is being conducted to obtain post-site condition imaging for water line replacement work that was recently completed along St. Vrain Creek.
The UAS flight path will cover a roughly 2-acre area surrounding the creek and will be conducted at an altitude of less than 400 feet following a preprogrammed route. The pilot will have takeover control at all times.
Questions about this drone flight may be directed to Jennifer Loper, PWNR Public Information Specialist.
