Formal State-Level Charges to be Filed Today for Boulder Attack

Charges will be filed at 3:30 p.m. on June 5 against Mohamed Sabry Soliman for the attack that occurred on June 1 on Pearl Street.

Charges will be filed against Mohamed Sabry Soliman on June 5 at 3:30 p.m. for committing an attack on Sunday in Boulder. On June 4, the District Attorney’s Office announced that there are 15 confirmed victims of the attack, plus one dog. Soliman will be facing state-level charges for attempted murder and other related charges. Soliman was charged with a hate crime by the U.S. Attorney’s Office on Monday, just a day after the terror attack transpired on Pearl Street. 

The hearing on Thursday is when Soliman will be formally charged for state-level crimes related to the terror attack, and the next court date will be scheduled. The DA’s office said it “anticipates” the document of formal charges against Soliman will be a public document. 

The victims of the attack range from 25 to 88 years old. There are eight female victims and seven male victims. Two victims are still hospitalized on Wednesday, but are expected to survive. 

Boulder has created a page for updates related to the case and the Colorado Judicial Branch has a page dedicated to the case The People of the State of Colorado v. Soliman, Mohamed Sabry. The hearing this afternoon will be livestreamed by the Colorado Judicial Branch. Users are directed to select “Boulder” from the list of counties, and then select “Boulder County Jail” to tune into the livestream at 3:30 p.m.

We stand with the Jewish community and the people of Colorado against hate and terror.”
