Request for public update on Longmont Housing Authority investigation

Council Member Christensen would like to see a public update, put forth by July 18, 2017, by either the director or the head of the Longmont Housing Authority (LHA) on the progress of their investigation of the incident that took place. Council Member Peck also agreed that she would like to see an update on the progress of the investigation. Council Member Bagley agreed to hear an update but stated "however, we are not their [LHA] boss. We don't have any purview other than appointing the board of directors; we don't control their finances; they don't report to us". Bagley went on to tell Harold Dominguez, Longmont City Manager, "...I think the appropriate thing to do is just to ask 'Where we at? Have we heard from them? What's going on? Do you know anything?'".

Harold Dominguez replied, "I haven't heard from them. I had a brief call late last week with no specifics. I can on behalf of the council ask the question and then bring that information back." Mayor Coombs agreed to that.
