Chris McGilvray, owner of Longmont Liquors, is reaching out to the community to help him find who is responsible for breaking into his liquor store.
On Sunday, June 17th at about 3:45 a.m., "someone took it upon himself to break out our front windows at the shop," McGilvray wrote on Facebook.
"If you recognize this individual please let me or law enforcement know. Hoping someone here can identify this guy. Thank you."
Currently, the only lead the Longmont Police have to follow is the photo and the video that McGilvray shared.
The video, which can be found below, shows what looks to be a man throwing a rock through the front door window, pushing the glass through and then leaving the scene.
Longmont Public Safety Commander Joel Post said that police are looking for a white male, estimated between 25 and 30 years old, medium build, dark hair, glasses, gray sweatshirt, and blue jeans.
"Not a lot to give, but that's what we know," said Cmdr. Post in a phone call with the Longmont Observer.
Those with more information about the suspect are encouraged to contact Officer McDonnell.
"While our downtown has made significant infrastructure enhancements over recent years, we continue to face real challenges stemming from individuals who have intentions of causing harm and distribution," wrote Chris McGilvray in a Facebook Message to the Observer.
"As a member of the Longmont Downtown Development Authority board of directors, I hear from several local business owners that face similar challenges causing intentional harm and destruction or personal property. A select few individuals with these intentions misrepresent what Longmont is about."
