The Longmont Observer has become this year's recipient of Quarter Fund’s 3rd quarter grant.

The Quarter Fund, in partnership with the Longmont Community Foundation, is a philanthropic group of twenty-somethings that meet four times a year to award non-profits in Boulder County a grant.

Each quarter The Quarter Fund changes their non-profit focus to expose themselves to new non-profit missions and perspectives. This quarter the focus was on a non-profit supporting the 1st Amendment Rights to Free Press.

The grant of $750 will be used by the Longmont Observer for general operating support. With the grant, the Longmont Observer's current available bank balance is $2,212.67; 10 recurring donors donate a combined $85.45 a month.

The Longmont Observer would like to thank The Quarter Fund and The Longmont Community Foundation for awarding us this grant.
