Longmont Economic Development Partnership has issued a press release regarding the Longmont Startup Week 2017 schedule of events going live.

Longmont’s entrepreneurial community and innovative spirit will be showcased during Longmont’s third annual Startup Week, scheduled for July 24th through 28th, 2017. Longmont Startup Week will include five days of networking events, panels, fireside chats, workshops and guest speakers that bring together entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, wanna-preneurs, creatives, techies, inventors and business owners from across the Front Range to connect and inspire. The Longmont Economic Development Partnership has been busy leading the planning and organizing of the week and excitement has been building around the community to see the full list of events and sessions that will take place during Longmont Startup Week. Today, the greatly anticipated schedule of events was unveiled on the Longmont Startup Week website http://longmont.startupweek.co.

Some highlights of the week’s speakers include:

• Dr. Walter Scott, Founder, Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Digital Globe, Inc.

• Scott Resnick, Executive Director of StartingBlock in Madison Wisconsin

• John Fischer, Founder & CEO of StickerGiant

• Dave Schiff, Partner & Chief Creative Officer of Made Movement

• Morgan Smith, Boettcher scholar and co-founder of the Roosevelt Institute at Denver University

Speakers and panelist will share their experiences on how their companies are creating great company cultures to attract top talent, how they survived pivots and market flounders, how they rocked their marketing campaigns, moved their food businesses beyond the farmers market, and more! Entrepreneurs will hear from organizations like Boomtown, Galvanize, MergeLane, Rockies Venture Club, Boulder Engineering Studios, Innosphere and TinkerMill about topics like what it takes to land equity investment, be an angel investor, set up a business for success, stay mentally fit, and how to get a concept from prototype to product. Mentors will also lend their expertise to Longmont Startup Week attendees during open office hours on Tuesday and Thursday.

“We are delighted that through the support of many sponsors and through the help of our partners, we are able to bring such a great line-up of people, companies and resources to support Longmont’s startup community,” says Jessica Erickson, President of the Longmont Economic Development Partnership.

Basecamp for Longmont Startup Week will be located at CoSolve co-working space at 350 Terry Street, Suite 300, and Basecamp will be “Powered by NextLight”. Longmont was recently named the city with the fastest internet speeds by PCMag, and attendees will have the opportunity to drop in and experience the speed of the NextLight gigabit network at Basecamp. Basecamp will also act as a gathering place for attendees before and after sessions, where they can network and refuel, pick up their Longmont Startup Week program and swag, get more information on Longmont or directions to the various session venues.

All Longmont Startup Week events are free to attend and open to the public. To view the full schedule and sign up for the events, visit http://longmont.startupweek.co. Volunteer opportunities are still available, and are an excellent way to get involved in this exciting week. Volunteers are needed to assist with day-of event logistics, event setup, checking in attendees, directing and assisting attendees, assisting with AV, and managing Basecamp. Visit the website for more information or contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Crystal Ingram at [email protected] to sign up.

About Startup Week: Startup Week™ is more than a conference, it’s a celebration. Startup Week brings entrepreneurs, local leaders, and friends together over five days to build momentum and opportunity around your community’s unique entrepreneurial identity. Join in a celebration led by entrepreneurs and hosted in the entrepreneurial spaces you love. Over the course of five days, participants in Startup Week can choose the events they’d like to attend.
