Miss Boulder County Halle Ann Fernandez to Compete for Miss Colorado 2025

Miss Boulder County, Longmont resident Halle Ann Fernandez, is bringing her environmental mission to the state-wide stage in the competition for Miss Colorado 2025.

LONGMONT, CO — Miss Boulder County, Halle Ann Fernandez, will take the stage in just two weeks to compete for the coveted title of Miss Colorado 2025. If crowned, she will go on to represent the Centennial State at the Miss America Competition this September.

A proud Longmont resident and passionate environmental advocate, Fernandez has dedicated over 3,000 hours to community service through her work as a four-term AmeriCorps member and nonprofit outreach coordinator. Her commitment to education and sustainability has led her to directly teach over 9,000 individuals across the Southwest about environmental stewardship, outdoor ethics, and civic pride.

In October 2024, Halle formed a national partnership with Keep America Beautiful, where she has since spearheaded programs to expand community access to beautification tools and launched hands-on environmental education initiatives for youth and families.

“My mission has always been to make environmental education fun, accessible, and empowering,” says Fernandez. “Whether I’m teaching Girl Scouts how to Leave No Trace or leading a cleanup on the Colorado Front Range, I want every person—especially young people—to see themselves as environmental leaders.”

Halle also believes that environmentalism is a unifying issue. She is passionate about leading bipartisan conversations about the health of our planet, and she strongly believes that everyone deserves clean, green, and safe communities—regardless of their background or political affiliation.

Fernandez believes deeply in the power of the Miss America Opportunity to help young women grow personally and professionally.

“The Miss America Organization is an opportunity for young women to develop a servant’s heart while earning scholarships to further their education,” she shares. “I want young women to know that this opportunity is truly up for grabs—if you want to experience it, just try it.

For a long time, I was so scared of failing that I wouldn’t even try new things. But after competing for the past four years, I’ve learned that if you don’t ask, the answer will always be no—and that trying and failing leaves so much more room for growth than never trying at all.”

In addition to her advocacy, Halle has helped launch Women in STEM events, created a Girl Scout environmental patch, and secured a proclamation from Governor Jared Polis recognizing Keep America Beautiful Week in Colorado.

The Miss Colorado Competition will take place at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts in Denver from June 6–8, showcasing the state’s most accomplished young women in service, scholarship, and leadership.
