Longmont Police are investigating a report of an elderly female scammed out of a large sum of money.
The report was taken Saturday, Sept. 11. Police said the scam is commonly referred to as the “grandmother scam,” according to a Longmont Police report.
“This case is open with further investigation ongoing,” the report states. No other details were available.
