Boulder County Parks & Open Space is beginning the planning process for the East Boulder Creek Site. An online survey is available through Tuesday, Feb. 28, for public opinion on conservation and people priorities for the site.

The 1377-acre site is an opportunity to welcome the community to a new public space while ensuring a thriving habitat and agriculture values. The site is composed of five individual open space properties that contain a dozen ponds and five miles of perennial streams along Boulder Creek and Coal Creek. The goal is to provide a welcoming space for all in the community while conserving the open space values important to everyone. Agriculture, wildlife, native plants, and public use can all exist in harmony at this site.

Visit the East Boulder Creek Site Management Plan webpage for more information and the survey. The survey will close Tuesday, Feb. 28, at midnight. However, additional public input opportunities will be available starting late May and throughout the summer. For questions, please contact Heidi Wagner, Resource Planning Division Manager, at [email protected] or 720-864-6501.
