Sunday Funny

Growing up, my grandfather used to save the Sunday comics until my cousins, sisters and I came to visit. He would pile all five of us into his lap and begin reading the Sunday comics to us. He added voices and sound effects all of which resulted in a bunch of wiggling, giggling children. In retrospect, I am sure the man had bruises later. The memories are precious. 

While comic strips are still a fun part of most newspapers, digital papers can sometimes suffer from a lack of silliness and fun. The Leader is calling local artists who would like to contribute a comic to the digital news lineup. Please email submissions to either [email protected] or [email protected]. 

John Anglin is the first to submit a comic. We will see more from him in the weeks to come.
