St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation is hosting its 39th annual Sunrise Stampede on Aug. 10. Registration is now open.
The annual 5K run/walk and 1 mile fun run has raised over $290,000 for student programs within the St. Vrain Valley School District. The funds are allocated to programs that support special education and mental health teacher innovation grants.
The event is held at Silver Creek High School. Registration for the in-person race opened on April 1 and closes on Aug. 6 at noon for those who want a t-shirt and on Aug. 8 at midnight for online registration.
The first 200 SVVSD students to register are free courtesy of Common Spirit Longmont United Hospital. After the first 200, students can register for $10.
Early registration for the event costs $30 until May 15. Those who register by April 22 will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.
