UCHealth opens new medical center

The new facility is open and will aid in efforts to expand inpatient care at the hospital.

UCHealth Longs Peak Medical Center is officially open and is now caring for patients.

The medical center is east of Longs Peak Hospital and offers a number of specialty services including pulmonary care, women’s care, general surgery and cardiology.

"We are excited to welcome patients into this new medical center that was carefully designed to be a comforting and calming space," said Donna Lankford, UCHealth Medical Group's vice president of clinic operations. “The vision for the medical center was to bring diagnostic care and specialty care together in one location to maximize convenience for our patients. We are thrilled this vision is now our reality."

After researching the growing health care needs of the community, the outpatient medical center is part of the comprehensive care for all ages package UCHealth now offers at its Longs Peak location.

The medical center offers a plethora of outpatient services including laboratory services, physical therapy and speech therapy.

The UCHealth facility has partnered with Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Longmont, and the UCHealth Refractory Depression Clinic and University of Colorado School of Medicine for more health care services.

“At UCHealth, not only are we focused on delivering excellent care and an exceptional experience to our patients of today, we are also always planning on what we need to do to meet the community’s health care needs tomorrow,” Cramer said. “The medical center will play a big part in helping us care for our growing community for generations to come.”
