A wildfire northwest of Boulder Canyon was ablaze Saturday night, but was quickly contained by Boulder Fire-Rescue.
The first public notification occurred at 7:51 p.m. on Saturday evening. Boulder Fire-Rescue warned the public to stay away from the Canyon/Flagstaff area. About 90 minutes later, a post on X said that the fire had been 100 percent contained.
The fire occurred about a quarter mile southwest of Eben G. Fine Park. During the fire mitigation process, the Boulder Fire-Rescue team said that “crews are making their way down the steep and treacherous terrain. At this time, we have not identified a cause of the fire. The hillside is green and humidity level is in our favor tonight.”
No further information has been provided at this time and a cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
