Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty (Photo from Boulder County DA Facebook) Each month, Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty visits a community within Boulder County in order to meet with community members.

This past year, not only did I learn that Funyuns came in more than one flavor, or that Justin Timberlake is no longer in NSYNC and has a solo career now, but more important things like stuff at the Longmont Observer (LO) where I volunteer.

Fun movie with some good humor for the whole family. The story is very simple and predictable. Animation and voice acting is great. Grade: A-

ASSAULT On December 31, 2018, at approximately 0044 hours, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street on a report of a disturbance between a male and a security officer.

UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont welcomed a baby boy today as the first baby born in 2019. At 9:39 a.m. Taylor Burdge was born to new parents Elizabeth and Jesse Burdge of Superior.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF On 12/29/18, a Longmont resident reported criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 600 block of Claredon Drive. This case is closed due to a lack of suspect information.

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to 2019. Hopefully, it will be a great year for us all. The year 2018 was a struggle for me personally, but one I am happy to have gone through.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS On Monday, 12/31/18, at approximately 0421 hours, police responded to the 2200 block of Pratt Street where a first degree trespass to a residence occurred. This case is ongoing.

*Update: On Jan. 3, Longmont Police Department released the name of the officer who fired the rifle as Master Police Officer Mike Kimbley.
