Ever wonder how Longmont came to be? As it turns out, it was founded on memberships. In 1870, several prominent Chicago businessmen decided to turn West to seek their fortunes.

Vicious Dog On June 15, 2017 the Longmont Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Bowen St on the report of an aggressive animal. An adult male was bitten on his fingers. The owner of the dog has yet to be identified. Case is open.

FDC/Crime Trespass On Thursday, June 15th, 2017, an officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Americana Rd. on the report of a 1st degree criminal trespass into a vehicle. There are no leads at this time and the case will be closed.

Citywide News Coffee with Council is This Saturday Longmont City Council will host Coffee with Council from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, June 17, at Ute Creek Golf Course, 2000 Ute Creek Drive.

Burglary On June 15th, Longmont Police arrested an adult make in the 4500 block of Redmond Drive for burglary, attempted burglary, and theft. He was later transported to Boulder County Jail for booking. Case closed by arrest.

FDC/Crime Trespass On 06/12/2017, Longmont Police responded to the 200 block of Grant St., reference a criminal trespass complaint. Unknown person(s) unlawfully entered a construction trailer, and stole items of value from within.

Domestic Incident On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at approximately 6:14am, Longmont Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at in the 400 block of 4th Ave.
