Longmont City Council approved a $20,000 grant Tuesday night for the Bright EYES (Early Years Education Stewards) zero to five programming that was awarded to the City of Longmont's Children, Youth, and Families (CYF) Division in January 2018.

Wednesday night the St. Vrain Valley School Board approved the purchase of network switches, access points, controller licenses and phones for the amount of $521,420.85 to Venture Technologies.

SUSPICIOUS SITUATION On 02/13/18 at approximately 0140 hrs. an officer contacted two males under suspicious circumstances in the 1100 block of Kimbark St. One of the males lied about his identification.

On Tuesday night, Longmont City Council unanimously approved ordinance O-2018-07 which appropriates an additional $937,500 to the Public Safety Fund. $575,000 will go towards the LEAD program and $362,500 towards the Co-Responder program.

Longmont City Council approved, Tuesday evening, to increase fees for resident and non-resident use of the Union Reservoir recreation area. The fee hikes become effective March 1, 2018.
