As many as 3,000 volumes are available at the Innovation Lab and all are free to students in the St. Vrain Valley School District.

As of now, students in grades preschool through fifth, sixth and ninth grades will return to full time, in-person instruction. Seventh- and eighth-grade students and 10th- through 12th-grade students will return to a combination of in-person and real-time online learning. A final plan for fall classes will not be decided until mid-July.

Superintendent Don Haddad unveiled the district’s preliminary plan for a return to classes during Wednesday’s school board meeting. He is meeting with Boulder County health officials to review the proposal, saying it could be altered if the spread of COVID-19 changes.

The state is facing $3.3 billion in budget cuts in response to coronavirus-related revenue declines, and current estimates are that school funding could be reduced by 5%, which in SVVSD will create an estimated $14 million deficit.

Officials are crediting teacher preparations for the district's ability to garner 100 percent student participation in virtual learning by the end of this school year.
