City to continue snow removal throughout day; roads snow packed and slushy Monday morning

Longmont plans to continue snow removal operation, clearing roads and applying chemical treatment to assist with melting and traction throughout the day and into Monday evening.

The forecast for Monday calls for frigid temperatures, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-teens, according to the city email, which also stated the sun is supposed to make an appearance, which will assist in further melting as the day progresses.

The city is asking motorists to exercise caution on overpasses and bridges, and at intersections.
