Boulder County is using both the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security, or CARES, Act and county dollars to fund critical services, Commissioner Matt Jones stated in a news release.

“Open to all, the grant-funded grocery program is being offered in an effort to help respond to the ongoing increase in food insecurity as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.”

The distribution plan prioritizes three groups of people for the order in which people in those groups will be eligible to get vaccines. In the first phase, the priority recipients will be assisted living facility workers, home health care workers and outpatient pharmacists.

The Boost Longmont Business Grant program aims to “encourage the recovery, resilience and long-term viability of local small businesses and nonprofits contributing to a strong local economy,” according to a news release.

The order was announced along with a number of recommendations from the state’s Special Eviction Prevention Task Force, which was created in August to examine housing instability caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Common symptoms of MIS-C include fever, severe abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, red eyes, red lips, trouble breathing, and seeming confused/sleepy.

Awards from the fund will be specifically targeted toward businesses and nonprofits that have limited access or no access to other means of financing through federal, state, or local programs, according to a news release.
