Businesses are invited to attend the virtual event to learn more about the change that was announced Wednesday and will result in more stringent COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings and business capacity

“It seems that our quantity of customers is the same as the temperature. 80 degrees 80 customers, 8 degrees (eight) customers. Winter is here, but the tavern may not be for much longer,” the West Side Tavern stated in a recent Facebook post.

The change means further limits on businesses and in-person gatherings, including those not held in public spaces. 

Ellie Agar, communications director at Hunger Free Colorado, said some progress was made in curbing children's hunger in the state, thanks to the Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer program. But 45% of households with kids are still food insecure.

“And we still believe the pandemic, no matter what happens in the future, will affect families for months, maybe years.”

A number of potential participants will be contacted through UCHealth’s My Health Connection patient portal and invited to enroll in in the vaccine trial. Others who are interested in participating should go to bit.ly/NoCoVaccineStudy for more information and to see if they qualify.

The quarantine information will be updated once a week and parents can still ask schools for their quarantine data as well, Haddad said.
