Council members sided with city staff members who said a local ordinance might not be needed since Gov. Jared Polis on Oct. 15 issued an executive order that suspended the assessment of late fees for renters until Dec. 31. 

The dashboard — which now includes information about the number of quarantines in the district — still lacks important details compared to other school districts in the state, said Laura Ruth of the SVVSD Parent Teacher Support Network During COVID.

Through the project, which was created by county Volunteer Engagement and Donations Management staff, approximately 84 people created handmade masks for children, youth and adults that were distributed starting March 21.

“The five-day rolling average of daily cases among county residents is 52.6 cases per day, which is higher than any other time except during the height of the surge of new cases among young adults,” Boulder County Public Health stated in the release.

“The new initiative reaches Boulder County residents who do not have equitable access to testing services, including the Latinx community, those experiencing homelessness, individuals age 65 or older, and people living in the Peak to Peak areas of the county,” the county stated in a news release.
