Longmont police are still seeking information about a Tuesday night stabbing in the 1400 block of Dry Creek Drive after the victim died at a Denver area hospital.

The victim, a 51-year-old man described as a transient, died about 1:40 a.m. Friday, Jeff Satur, deputy chief of Longmont Police Services, stated in an emailed news release. He was found with multiple stab wounds at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday by officers who were responding to a call for a welfare check and a possible shooting, according to police.

“Longmont Public Safety has continued to work this investigation and has developed several possible suspects.  As with any significant investigation, we are diligently working all leads, but we still need the publics' help,” Satur stated in the email.

Anyone with information about the incident or who might have seen the stabbing is asked to contact Detective Cody Clark at 303-774-4392 or Detective Sgt. Matt Cage at 303-651-8520.

The cause and manner of death are pending further examination by the Boulder County Coroner's Officer and police department, Satur stated in the email.  The victim’s name will be released until the Boulder County Coroner's Office has notified his family.
