Longmont, CO – Academic Year in America (AYA) is looking for families to host an exchange student this August. AYA, a non-profit organization, is bringing hundreds of high school students to the U.S.

You may have noticed more graffiti in your neighborhood lately, particularly gang graffiti.

AUTO THEFT On Friday, July 28th, 2017, at approximately 1730 hours, Longmont Police were dispatched to contact a party by phone reference a possible auto theft. Police contacted an adult male. The case is closed. 937 submitted.

This Week is a quick glimpse at news and events happening in Longmont.

That's right. Muttin Bustin. It's an event usually held at rodeos that's similar to bull or bronco riding, but it's done with children as the riders and sheep as the steeds.

Longmont City Council is considering options for a transit station at 1st and Main Street.

Major traffic impacts are expected from 6:00 a.m.-noon Friday, July 29, on South Main Street as work begins to relocate traffic from the east side to the west side of the Main Street Bridge over St. Vrain Creek.

SHOPLIFT On Thursday, July 27, 2017, the Longmont Police Department was dispatched to the 2000 Block of Main St. on report of a shoplift. This case is cleared by arrest.

The ordinance that would have regulated sitting and lying down in public entryway areas outside certain downtown Longmont public facilities dies as a majority of City Council members indicated they'll vote against the ordinance.
