Starting July 3, ArtWalk makes a return to downtown Longmont

The annual call for Longmont’s Shock Art contest is about to end

The Summer Artist Residency at the Firehouse Art Center begins this June with Janelle Anderson’s collaborative project titled “All Together Now.”

Led by the Longmont Downtown Development Association, the district hopes to unify businesses and creatives throughout Longmont.

Lee, who strives to see the positive, shares his secrets.

“All of the artists are doing really interesting things, and I’m excited to see the works in the space,” said Brandy Coons, Curator at the Firehouse Art Center.

Amy Scanes-Wolfe explores the story of the Chicago-Colorado colony through historical fiction.

Seven winners were named from 27 entries.

“I think it’s a really good opportunity to show not only adults but maybe younger kids that art is something that you can actually pursue,” Ditslear said. 

Some musicians have moved their performances to virtual venues, with the aid of studios and bars, or even their own living rooms.
