The chase that reached 80 mph began about 12:25 a.m. Friday, when a deputy attempted a traffic stop near 95th Street and Niwot Road in unincorporated Boulder County. The vehicle, a gray Chevy pickup, was reported stolen at gunpoint in Lakewood Thursday morning, according to a sheriff's office news release.
