Black Canyon Distillery in Mead recently closed its doors, after eight years in the distilling business. Couple Fred and Susan Lesnick, owners of Black Canyon Distillery, have decided that it is time to retire.

The Longmont Jazz Festival is celebrating their 20th anniversary on Saturday, July 21 on 5th Avenue in downtown Longmont. The festival begins around 10:55 a.m. and ends after the featured band, Ritmo Jazz Latino, ends their set.

Hooplagers, formally known as Lagers for Lumber, will take place on Saturday, July 21 at Wibby Brewing. VIP admission begins at 3:15 p.m. and general admission begins at 4 p.m. The event ends at 8 p.m.

The Sandstone Ranch section of the St. Vrain Greenway trail reopened in June. Along this trail 200,000 new native plants can be seen and trailblazers can enjoy newly stabilized creek banks.
