On August 22nd, the Board of Education approved Change Order 2 for $150,000 to adjust the contract with Adolfson & Peterson Construction. The contract value currently stands at $1,450,000.

According to a presentation by Brian Lamer, it has been 20 months since the 2016 Bond was passed. In that time, $169,000,000 has been spent completing projects which include the addition of 335,000 square feet of new building with 173 new classrooms.

A note from our community’s public safety chief: Recently, I’ve heard the following related to crime, traffic issues, and disorder in our community.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF On Thursday, 08/23/2018, at 0716 hours, a front door glass was reported broken in the 500 block of Mountain View Avenue. The case is closed as suspects are unknown.

FDC/CRIM TRESPASS A Longmont resident reported an unknown suspect entered their vehicle in the 1200 block of Della Street, Longmont, Colorado. Case status is closed due to lack of suspect information.

Despite not hearing a presentation by city staff on Tuesday evening, Longmont City Council voted 5-2 to instruct staff to move forward on the next step of a feasibility study on a proposed competitive pool and ice rink center.
