Este premio de la Fundación Comunitaria del Condado de Boulder busca avanzar el legado de Gallo “incluyendo su trabajo innovador en representación de los inmigrantes y aquellos con desventajas económicas que forjaron proyectos de participación comunitaria, programas y políticas a través de los condados de Boulder y Broomfield”, de acuerdo a  un comunicado en el sitio web de la fundación.
