Longmont Mayor Joan Peck read a proclamation at the June 3 city council meeting that designated this June as “LGBTQ+ Pride Month” in the city of Longmont. The Longmont Pride Festival is also scheduled for June 7.

Community members are invited to meet the goats “hired” by the City of Boulder to help control invasive weeds and support healthy native plant communities at Harlow Platts Community Park on June 14.

The Boulder Jewish Community Center is hosting a vigil on June 4 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in response to the attack that occurred on Pear Street on June 1.

The Food Truck Electrification & Efficiency program has been launched in Boulder County in order to reduce pollution and harmful environmental effects from mobile businesses. A “Food Truck Electrification Rally” will occur on June 3.

The weekly event, organized by nonprofit The New Local, will run from June through September and will feature art, theatre programming, and music targeted for all ages.

The free “All About Pronouns” event is geared toward adults and teens and will take place on Monday, June 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Longmont Library meeting rooms. The event will focus on teaching attendees about proper, respectful use of pronouns.

The free festival, which will take place Friday through Monday this weekend, will feature live entertainment, vendors, artwork, and more.

A meeting to foster dialogue between citizens regarding the Vance Brand Airport will be held by Longmont City Council candidate Jake Marsing on May 17 at Clover Meadows Park from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

A celebration to celebrate the opening of Fox Meadows Neighborhood Park will occur on May 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will include refreshments, games, and recognition of a steel sculpture installation created by Pavia Justinian.

The 2025 Women’s Health Summit, to take place on May 15, will bring together community leaders to discuss the impacts that women’s mental health can have on both people and businesses.
