A slight departure from the usual Thursday Nights at the Museum fare, today’s late night-style talk show will feature Longmont locals talking about what they do, how they do it, and what it means to be doing it here in Colorado. 

The project will gauge viewers' reactions to sculptures inspired by the natural world. 

The virtual celebration will be livestreamed on the museum’s Facebook page, Longmont Public Media and on Comcast channels 8 and 880. 

The Longmont Museum will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution with a Thursday panel discussion “100 Years of Women's Suffrage: Where Are We Now and What Lies Ahead?”

This is the first event in a week of festivities, during which people from across the country and globe will come together to celebrate Mexican heritage, Aranda said, adding organizers are expecting over 300 attendees.

Denver-based Bobby Lefebre is the youngest and first-ever person of color to be named the state poet laureate in the program’s 100-year history. The evening will include him reading from his work, as well as readings by Boulder’s Emily Marie Passos Duffy and local poets who have been invited to read.

The virtual season — “(Re)Sounding! 2020 Reimagined” — begins at 4 p.m. Sunday with a live streaming performance of some famous works by J.S. Bach and Mozart from the museum stage.
